About Delta Tau Delta

Since we joined the University of Washington greek community in 1908, the Fraternity of Delta Tau Delta has always and will always continue to be a place that encourages personal development, strives to develop strong values, and prepares our members to achieve inside and outside of the collegiate world.

The men of Gamma Mu are more than just a brotherhood. Our close-knit group of hardworking and engaging brothers is diverse and represents a broad range of backgrounds, cultures, interests and unique personalities. With members from not only all over the country, but all over the world, Delta Tau Delta allows you to find a home away from home while you advance your education at UW.

As a brotherhood we are committed to living lives of excellence while also incorporating leadership development, academic achievement, and service to our community both inside and outside of the University of Washington. Our 4 core values of Truth, Courage, Faith, and Power are alongside everything we do and are not just a part of us for the four years we are at UW, but forever.

Gamma Mu Delts pride themselves on the idea that academics always come first, and are proud to be one of the most diverse houses in terms of areas of study. We have brothers in almost every department at the University of Washington that are active in research projects and professional development. Many of our brothers are currently advancing their education beyond UW.

Our brothers are also enjoy pursuing athletics outside of their time spent in the classroom or professional environments. In the past year alone, we have won 3 Intramural Championships and we are always in the pursuit for more, and our house is also home to multiple UW club sports participants. Our primary philanthropic event is Delta Tau Delta Iris Queen, where we invite a representative from each sorority to participate. Miss Greek is a fundraiser to support Cancer for College, which provides scholarships to low-income, high-achieving cancer survivors. In our years of hosting this event, we have raised over 1.5 million dollars in support of our philanthropy. This enlists our event as the largest of any greek philanthropy west of the Mississippi! The 2019 Miss Greek Philanthropy was a great success, helping raise over $33,000 to support Cancer for College, and was capped off with the pageant held at the Neptune Theatre on June 3rd, 2019. Delts are also incredibly active with other philanthropies within the UW Greek System. In the last few years alone, we have donated over $20,000 to neighboring houses’ philanthropies.

Our beautiful house on 19th Avenue is proudly recognized as the cleanest house in the University of Washington Greek Community, representing our fundamental respect for our home and everyone that we share it with. It houses spacious study rooms, laundry facilities, a fully accessible kitchen, and of course, over 70 active members. In addition to housing, we are also grateful for our Chef Mikki, who supplies us with 10 incredible meals a week that makes you feel like you are still at home.

We proudly raise our Delt flag to celebrate the lives of excellence that every Gamma Mu Delt is developing throughout their membership and continuing as they graduate proudly a member of Delta Tau Delta, and as always, Rah Rah and Go Dawgs!
