Gary Ausman Fraternal Leadership Academy

The Gary Ausman Fraternal Leadership Academy, founded by UW alumnus Gary Ausman (Pi Kappa Alpha) is designed to develop a new generation of self-aware, reflective, effective, compassionate, collaborative, and ethical University of Washington fraternity students committed to applying their knowledge in service to the greater good.

The curriculum focuses on equipping emerging leaders with skills in communication, conflict resolution and teamwork, and helps them identify ways to create their legacy at the UW.

Gary Ausman advised UW fraternities for 23 years in his illustrious career at UW. A husky tried and true, he graduated in 1963 and has stayed close to the community ever since. Since retiring, he continues to support UW fraternity leaders through the Ausman academy.

The 5th Annual Ausman Academy will be held in Autumn 2022.
